Breastfed 5 month baby poo

Hi, I am looking for some breastfeeding mummies to give me some reassurance (or not if the case may be?!). Apologies in advance for the topic & poo pictures!! My baby is currently 5 months old and his poos have changed in the last 4 weeks. He used to always poo lots per day and they varied in colour, amount, texture. Since 4 months he is now in a regular pattern of pooing once per day in the morning (rare occasion 2 per day)- his poos pretty much fill his nappy though (often can come out of the nappy) , are quite runny (think I would use runny rather than watery 🤔, chicken korma colour, sometimes can have seeds but more often not, sometimes a bit stringy/mucus, have distinct smell (not unpleasant though, sweetish 🤔). No teeth as yet but hands/objects permanently in mouth and red cheeks/dribbling. I have attached a few pics (p.s. poos look more yellow colour in real life) to see if anyone can enlighten me whether these are within the 'normal' range?🤔 Thanks

That looks exactly like my DD‘s diapers! Also 5 months and breastfed, so would definitely say it’s normal. She went from pooing after almost every feed to once every 1-2 days and when it happens it‘s a proper explosion just like that. Same colour and texture as well. I‘m just happy if I manage to catch it during the day, which means not changing onesies, sleeping bag and bedsheets in the middle of the night.

Totally normal but you ruined my magnum Grin

These look like my DS poo who is four months and breastfed too. Perfectly normal.

Looks normal to me! They stodge up and become more colourful once you start weaning (the joy).

Looks identical to my breastfed DD, also 5 months.

Yep, completely normal. All breastfed babies poo looks like this, I have breastfed all four of mine and they all resembled korma Grin.

Normal. I always thought it smelled like natural yogurt, I couldn't eat it for ages!

MustardScreams · 31/05/2019 16:25

@Cannyhandleit same here! Put me off yogurt for breakfast for bloody months.

Totally normal op. Dd’s was like that till weaning. Then it got interesting Confused

Pinkvoid · 31/05/2019 16:26
