Single parent to 2 under 2

Looking for some wonderful advice before baby number 2 arrives at the end of July. I'm a single parent to a 19 month old, father left when i found out I was expecting and isn't having anything to do with the secound baby as of yet, he sees our first child every other weekend. He's moved on and is now engaged to his new partner who hasn't got a relationship with my son yet as she hasn't met him.

Trying to find helpful tips to make the first few months with a newborn and a toddler easier and what is the best way to blend broken families

Sorry to hear about the situation with the father. Having two under two is hard work but it is definitely manageable! Do you have any other support like family? If yes, get them helping on a regular basis. Batch cook for you and your toddler so you don’t have any cooking to do for first 4 weeks and when the baby arrives, don’t feel bad about ‘overusing’ CBeebies to keep toddler occupied during feeding etc.
Doing it on your own is tiring but it will get easier quickly. Also I found being pregnant with toddler harder than having a newborn and toddler as my energy returned (even with sleep deprivation).

Not sure what to say about the father other than sounds like he needs to step up to the plate. At the very least make sure he continues to regularly have toddler at weekends to give you one on one time with baby.
