Question about bf baby naps

DS is 9 months old and has never taken to a dummy (have tried). He is bf. I am curious to hear if other babies will nap on their parents without needing a boob or dummy in their mouth 🤔

I can count maybe 2/3 times he has napped on me without the boob and those were when he was poorly. Otherwise I can barely take the boob out of his mouth without him stirring instantly and wanting it back. Obviously this isn't a problem really I am just curious if this is what others experience. Do they tend to "grow out of it"? I guess he is getting to the point of not wanting to nap on me anymore full stop 😭. I see babies who take a dummy fast asleep in their mother's arms and looking so peaceful and asleep but even when he does fall asleep on the boob he is always sucking so he definitely isn't fully resting.

7.5 months here and will have 90% of her naps on me with a boob in her mouth. I have tried to get her in her cot to nap - she does it well at night - but it still involves me feeding her to sleep. Also completely rejected a dummy. She sleeps in her pushchair and in the car so it’s not like she needs the boob there either! Just got to keep persevering as she starts nursery in September and won’t have boobs to sleep on then!

You can try holding a dummy in while they sleep.
Also try different brands as they have different shapes.
