So I thought it might be nice to start a thread for parents who are weaning their 6 months old whether its puree or BLW. We can share what they eat, how much etc

So my LO is 27 weeks and today she had

6oz bottle
Crumpet with cheese spread & banana

7oz bottle
Cheese and broccoli frittata & yoghurt

4oz bottle
Tuna and courgette fritters & beans

4oz bottle

DD is just 6 months doing a combination of finger foods and spoon feeding. Starting off quite slowly.

Yesterday she ate

Porridge with mashed banana and a few banana slices that she mostly squished

Sweet potato mash/purée and a few spoons of a little yeos yoghurt.

My little boy is almost 28 weeks and have been weaning him for about a month now, I started a little sooner due to him having a few allergies. I usually give him around 4-5 bottles a day and then he’s been having for breakfast -porridge with pear purée or apple purée, half a weetabix with full milk, snack of ripe mango or cooked carrot sticks, then for tea I’ve been pureeing lots of veg and trying him on a few diff ones each week, one he particularly likes is broccoli, peas and sweet potato mashed together, I also made a baby beef casserole yesterday, I got some really good recipes from the annabel kernel book, u can currently buy it in Aldi for £1.49 which is a bargain :) I also tried him with some Cod and he loves raspberries too

Mine is 7 months old now. Yesterday she had:
Banana and egg pancake for breakfast (approx 1/3 of an egg and 1/3 of a banana)
Tomato and bean stew with cous cous for lunch.
A fish burger, 3 roasted sweet potato chips, and a few peas for tea.

So far today scrambled egg and a bit of bread for breakfast, and she rejected lunch!

Started at 17 weeks due to reflux, now 27 weeks. Today was:

5oz bottle overnight

Bottle offered at breakfast but refused. Had apple purée and porridge instead.

3oz bottle mid morning.

Lunch of mushed spag bol and small yoghurt.

2oz bottle and a piece of biscotti mid afternoon.

Dinner of mushed beef, sweet potatoes and carrots followed by prune purée.

Bedtime bottle of 6oz.

Day bottles are offered at 6oz but she’s starting to drop them so not much taken.

28 weeks old (oh my god I had to check, I wonder when I stopped knowing exactly how old she is!!!)

Breakfast
5oz bottle then
Pear purée with asda version of readybrek

Lunch
1.5oz of a 6oz bottle (Sad) then turkey pea and potato purée

We’re just doing 2 meals of solids at the moment in an attempt to get her hungry enough to actually take some milk in the afternoon, we tried 3 meals a day but she only had about 10oz formula all day and that can’t be enough

Tomorrow we’re going to go with a similar breakfast and have a go at some avocado on toast for lunch
