What do you think is more important running playing reading and cuddling your children and enjoying every moment at that time and taking in the feelings or capturing the moment as you do it and taking a photo to remenber the moment by. So you can look back on it in years to come.

Jesus. Punctuation would help this post rather a lot!

...But if I understand you correctly, I think there is no harm in taking a photo during a fun time with your children. I manage to enjoy the moment and sometimes manage to capture it too.

It's not an either/or situation though is it? My eldest is 5 now and it's terrifying the stuff you forget, how quickly the things that, at the time you can't imagine ever forgetting but you do. Photos do help to jog memories but it needn't be intrusive.

My husband died when my kids were 4 and 6. Wish I’d taken more photos! Pix don’t stop the fun, they only take a few seconds. What I don’t like is people who film everything and never put the camera down, of even make people redo stuff because they didn’t get it first time!.

Both are important. It only takes a second to capture a picture then you can go straight back to enjoying the moment 😊
