Hi,

Not sure if this is the right board or not but I will post up and if not let me know where I should put it.

Long story short, my newphew (Under 10) wants to come and live with me. He is very unhappy at home and there is a long history with social services and school etc. He currently stay's with me a few times a week already and want's to know why he can't stay with me all the time and then visit his mum.

I don't know what to say or how to deal with this. Social and school have both been off the radar for the last 12 months as circumstances have improved, although clearly not enough in his little mind.

Has anyone any advice or what I should do, do I go to the school and talk to them?

In re to talking directly to his mum, that's a no, we have a strained relationship at best and she will be hostile to him not living there... (I think)
