Help toddler sleep advice needed. We are exhausted and at our wits end. Our 2 year old wakes throughout night - like 6 or 7 times or more and then is awake from 5am. When we go in she's just sat up calling for us and goes straight back to sleep when we tell her to. If we don't go in it escalates and she cries and wakes up her brother next door. We put her to bed at 7.30 but she will spend another hour mucking about, calling us up to her room, asking us to kiss her teddies, laughing because she knows she's supposed to be asleep. She naps willingly in her bed for an hour to two hours at about 1pm. Length of nap and time she goes to sleep seems to make no difference regarding how she sleeps at night. Her behaviour during the day is very challenging - partly because she's a strong willed toddler and also i think because she isn't getting quality sleep. We've called Health visitor and they were no use - they just spoke about The Disappearing Chair technique which is pointless since she goes straight back to sleep when we go in. From 9 months she regularly slept through or woke only once then hit 18 months and we've been in sleep hell ever since. My husband and i are both so tired its affecting our ability to parent and i regularly go to work in a daze. Any suggestions please send them our way.
