22mo refusing to eat some things

Sunday evening dinners are becoming a battle. DH slaves over a hot stove to prepare our dinner and DD refuses to eat it. Husband gets annoyed and thinks we just take the plate away and she has nothing else. I think DD is too young at 22 mo to do this and don't want her going to bed hungry. Who is right?

She's to little to understand imo
My dd is 3 now and we don't offer her a alternative anymore but that has been v recent and I'm finding the older she is getting the less fussy she is being

Are you trying out new foods or foods you know she will eat?
