Two of my children are in there teens and my daughter is almost 1. Years ago all I had was the big camcorders and the the disposible photos. But with my daughter it was all digital. And all though I take way more photos now as it's so much easier and quicker. I wanted to ask mum's how ofter they are in the photos as I seem to be the absent mother. I was putting together an album and realised the kids are all the way through the Album with my daughter in her first year. Where I'm lucky to be in any. I only have about 20 with me in her first year. Could I ask are you in the photos and how many would you say you had with your children in there first year. My husband thinks I am being silly as photos are just frozen moments in time and memories and cuddles are much more important. And you can't feel the love in a photo but you can remember the cuddles love and affection as you grow. My mum is only in a handful of photos with me and I love her dearly.

I have no idea the number but I think its important you're in photos with all your kids. So if you were going out for the day to the zoo, there should be at least one photo with you all in or you with each child. Random photos of you out for coffee with the eldest or at the park with the youngest etc.

When you're dead, the photos are what's tangible to keep their memories alive and pass you on to their own kids
