My dh and i were at his cousins with our dd we were talking and her son kept scaring mt dd hes 8 my dd is 4 months i moved her as no one was saying anything and i didnt want to be rude. The boy then grabbed my daughters arm and scratched it. I told his mother and she said he wouldnt do that she was sitting there watching him and my dh told me its nothing but im furious no the wonder she cried when i took her arm. How long will it take for the mark to go? Any advice on dealing with a child that wont take no as a answer?

Don't see them and tell them why. 8 is far to old to be going on like that with a baby. A toddler yes but not 8. If they won't parent him then just stay away.
