Different baby since having his jabs!

DS is 9 weeks old, he had his 8 week jabs on Tuesday morning. He was lethargic, clingy and had a temperature afterwards but got better with calpol. He’s been sleeping fine at night but in the day he’s like a different baby. He is still happy and smiley occasionally but the rest of the time he’s crying or whining, beforehand he was having regular naps but since his jabs he’s been missing naps and won’t fall asleep unless he’s on me. He isn’t the happy chap that he was. When I put him down he starts crying in his sleep, then wakes himself up and continues to cry. Is this still down to the jabs? How long did it take for your LOs to get back to their normal selves? The jabs were 3 days ago so I thought he would be much brighter by now.

When my lo had her first jabs the nurse said it can take up to 2 weeks to get back to normal, she took about a week to be herself again

@cherylshaw really, that’s reassuring to know, thank you! The nurse only said he would be sleepy for a few hours so made it sound like he would be feeling better by now but he is so not himself

Hey. Please don't worry. My son is 6 months now but I had the same panic after the jabs. Nurse and Google told me he would be back to normal within 48 hours but it honestly took him over a week to be back to himself. His symptoms were just like yours. I got myself so het up that I had lost my happy boy...but he came back.

Same happened after each of the jabs but the next time I was prepared for it xx

My ds1 was always back to himself within 24 hours of his jabs so it came as quite a surprise when my happy, chilled ds2 took almost a week to be back to himself after his 16 week jabs. It is worrying when they aren’t themselves but he will be ok soon.

Yes, I'd say it lasted at least about 5 days after.
