Hello Everyone. Im a newbee here and a first time mom. I have a 17 months old son. I am a breastfeeding mom since he was born. Pure breastmilk no formula. And i started to give him solid food when he was 6 months old. From that time he was not happy and doesn't enjoy of his food. Even i tried to give him any varities of food like mash potatoe, blended vegetables, fruits and etc. He is so fussy of foods. In short. I have struggle to feed him any solid foods. He only eats when he is in the mood to eat but most of the time he doesn't take the food im giving him. Visited his pedia and said we are the one can find ways on how to make him eat. But i did my vey best but nothing has change. Can someone give me some advises what to do? Im so stress thinking of my son for him to eat seriously. Thank you for your time reading my problem. Hoping to hear someone sharing your advises. 🙂

Does he pick off your plate when you're eating?

What they probably mean by you are the ones that needs to find ways to make him eat is, just keep different things, if he's not liking mashed up foods from a spoon, try things he can pick up himself.

Do you give him proper food, rather than just mashed up stuff? He might prefer the texture.

Is he still drinking lots of milk? Could be a case of preferring the milk so his tummy is full with milk. Try starting the day with baby porridge mixed with fruit purée instead of milk

Yes i give him foods he can pick up by hand. But he just play on it. I give him pooridge like couple times a week he eats like 5 teaspoons. And thats it. He gets bored easy with his food. Until now he is taking my breastmilk. And im planning to stop giving my milk soon but i think its not possible to do that because he doesn't enjoy eating solid foods. I stop doing the mashed stuff like 2 months ago. He eats seriously sometime during dinner i think his appetite more higher on the evening. Breakfast and lunch too hard to feed him.
