Inconsolable crying after 8 week injections

My usually smiley happy DS had his 8 week injections today. He wailed at the time as to be expected then was fine, came home had a feed and a big nap. Since waking up he’s been inconsolably crying. I’ve tried skin on skin, tried to feed him, given him his second dose of calpol, cuddles, taking him out in pram but he is non stop wailing. He’s breastfed and I keep offering him a feed (he hasn’t fed since before his big nap so I’m sure he must be hungry) but offering him the breast makes him cry even harder. Is this normal, when will it pass? He is usually such a happy baby and this is breaking my heart. Any suggestions?

Mine was like that after all his injections. Just slept or cried. Took a day or two, but always went back to his normal happy self. It's horrible, but just have to persist through it!

What's his temperature?

Its 36.9 so it’s ok. Just can’t console him, he falls back to sleep then jumps awake crying. I’m sure he would feel better if I could give him a bit of a feed but he won’t take it.

Sounds exactly how my DS was and the temp went through the roof that night so keep and eye on him and I'd be tempted to keep him doses up on calpol as a cautionary measure.

Ill keep an eye on him. He had a bit of milk and another nap. Still very whiny but hopefully he’ll be better tomorrow
