The skin on my newborns face is being irritated by our rough muslins. Can anyone recommend somewhere that sells muslins that stay soft?

The softest ones I have came from Aldi, and if I needed more I'd definitely go to their next baby sale. You have to wait until it cycles round though, which is frustrating! I've heard good things about IKEA muslins but have no personal experience.

Aldi ones are by far the best.

Aden & anais. But the only way to keep a muslin soft is tumbler. You could try cheeky wipes minky wipes for face, they are super soft.

I got some animal print ones from amazon that are 70% bamboo and 30% cotton and they are far softer than the mothercare or boots ones I have.

Another vote for Aldi. By far the softest and we've millions of the things to compare. JoJo Maman are the scratchiest of ours.

The m&s cheap ones with a check pattern in the fabric are my favourites for feeding.
Other big ones for lining the changing mat and making sun shades are from tk maxx in shades of grey and are lovely.

Another one for Aldi, they’re fab! George ones as well stayed nice and soft and didn’t shrink too much.

The softest ones we have are Matalan. Wouldn't buy any others now. I wash with fabric conditioner and tumble dry and they're lovely and soft

Thank you all! I will keep an eye out for the aldi ones. I am also going to rewash and tumble ours and see if that helps... I think I probably line dried them not thinking it would make a difference.

Another vote for Aden and Anais. Not cheap though. But get better with each wash and have some lovely designs. Can get on Amazon.

Muslinz Premium High Quality Baby Muslin Squares (White, Pack of 12) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B008BSX3YS/ref=cmswwrcppapiii_blg4CbMJ4PEMN

I have these. They are the best I've used. When we are with friends and their babies I can always tell easily which ones are our muslins, despite them all being white! They get softer the more they are washed. I think you need to use the tumble dryer though to keep any muslins soft.

M&S burp cloths - brilliant, I use these instead of Muslims

chocodrops · 19/05/2019 10:12

Any Amazon bamboo ones then tumble dry 🙂

EggplantVestibule · 19/05/2019 10:36

M&S muslins are the softest I've come across (nursery practitioner, so I see a lot!).
