Baby won’t settle for Dad

I would love some advice! My daughter is 5 months old. When she was little she settled for her Dad fine at bedtime, however, since he went back to work (when she was 7 weeks old) she won’t go down for him at nighttime. She screams the house down until I come to settle her. I’m assuming it’s all just because she spends more time with me and feels comfortable with me when she’s tired and fussy. The main issue is that it means I literally never get a break! I do all the night feeds and it’s always me that has to settle her back to sleep when she wakes in the evening. For the last three nights we decided that her Dad would settle her and I wouldn’t go to settle her so she gets more used to her Dad. Unfortunately she got herself so worked up that she projectile vomited on two of the nights and after that I just couldn’t leave her and it took me two hours to get her off to sleep! Any tips would be very much appreciated.
One very tired Mammy.

How do you settle her? Five months is still very young for any changes, if she's used to you being there it's a big shock to having someone else (even if that other person is her dad). It's really tough if you're not getting a break though.

When she’s going to sleep she has a bottle then we have a little cuddle until she’s sleepy then just goes down in her bedside crib with her dummy and falls asleep. Most of the time if she wakes up and doesn’t want a bottle she’ll just take her dummy and fall asleep still in her cot but occasionally she’ll want some cuddles. The last couple of weeks though she’s been quite clingy and she is definitely enjoying more cuddles through the night - I think she’s teething and she’s had a bit of a cold so I’ve just assumed that’s why.
It would be lovely to have a break but aside from that I think my partner is finding it really difficult, partly because he wants to be able to help me more and partly because he’s worried that she doesn’t like him! I’ve spoken to some friends and they’ve said it quite a common thing when they’re still little so I’m hoping so just grows out of it. 🙏🏻
