Gastroenteritis or Food Allergy?

My 7 month old has been vomiting and explosive diarrhoea since this morning.

The only thing I think I did different is gave him Greek yoghurt full fat instead of natural yoghurt for his dessert at tea time.

My husband had gastroenteritis 2-3 days ago.

Could it be either?

He’s eating and drinking fine but it’s just coming up so I’m giving him little and often. He’s fine within himself.

If he’s okay with natural yoghurt, should he be okay with Greek?

I am going to lay off the yoghurt until he gets better.

He has formula.

I’m fairly certain it’s a GI infection unfortunately. There’s nothing in Greek yogurt or natural yogurt but dairy, just one is more strained than the other. If he already has formula, it’s unlikely to be the dairy. But GI bugs spread quite easily, bless him. Just keep an eye on it and keep him as hydrated as you can with water or formula.
