Can I ask if there any other parents going through what we are at the moment or if anyone has some advice.
Since my Daughter started Yr7 high school (now Yr8) she has started buying chocolate, sweets and fizzy pop without our knowledge. She has a bit of spare change from bus fare each week and she’s had birthday/Xmas money so she doesn’t have pocket money. I’ve been cleaning her room because she’s become very untidy and I’ve been finding stashes of wrappers and empty pop bottles. Her skin has become very pale and spoty and she won’t wash unless we tell her to.
She’s in the past eaten well, loves salad and fruit but now won’t eat her dinner. We as a family don’t eat a bad diet. I’m taking her to the doctors tomorrow as I’m becoming really concerned for her health and I know she will hate me for it and feel very embarrassed but I’ve told her I’ll do it in the past if she doesn’t stop with the sweet things but it’s not worked. I’m taking her phone off her too as she just spends her time in her room on it and has become very lazy. I just need to know I’m doing the right thing and hope someone can offer more advice.
