Is Fart a rude word...

...For a 2 year old?

We just say Fart in our house, no trumps, bottom burps, parps...My toddler has started loudly declaring her farts and finds this hilarious. Is this acceptable parenting or should I be saying something else?!

Summer I think booger for bogeys is an American turn of phrase.

By the time I remembered that it might possibly be a rude word, it was too late, my ds already knew it and loved it. I have more recently tried to encourage the use of trump, but that is more to do with my distaste of Donald rather than the word fart.

It was considered swearing at school and by my parents.
I'm sure she will grow out of declaring her farts anyway. When DS2 does it I say, 'pardon you!' and he laughs and now repeats it when he lets off (making me look like the farter) Grin
