Hi my baby is only a month old but during the day he will have 3-4oz & sleep for 3 hours during the night he will have 1-2oz & be up every hour. It’s driving me mad I’m exhausted. Sometimes he will do this during the day, have any of you got any tips? Or had this with your baby? Does it get easier ? Thank you

Ok, I had this with my baby, and I nearly lost my mind.
I'm a first time mum and knew no better than to feed every time he cried.
Bad times.

However, a friend has just had a baby and is staying with her parents.
Her mum had a handful of kids and has all sorts of good advice.
My friend feeds the baby at night, makes sure the baby is full, and when the baby cries again 30mins later her mum has taken the baby, makes sure she's winded properly, soothes the baby while she yells, and within 10 mins the baby is fast asleep and down for a couple of hours.
She's breaking that cycle of sleep/cry that I never managed to.

So, they're doing a lot better than I did.
Is there someone who could help you out at night?

Thank you for your advice, it’s tough isn’t it. It’s driving me mad. My DH works 12 hour shifts, he can’t really help me I literally don’t sleep for longer than 45 mins at a time. It’s a good tip every time he cry’s rather than giving him a bottle I’ll try to soothe him I must admit I don’t think it’ll work as my little one gets so worked up when hungry. Did you always feed on demand?

My baby is 2 months now and was similar! Although he woke every 2 hours or so at night.. I just went with him and he gradually switched it around... This week he's started sleeping 7-8 hours at night! It's really hard but I'm sure it will get better
