Breastfeeding: How long did your engorged breasts take to get comfortable?

Basically just that. My milk came in for DC2 a day ago and I’ve been feeding regularly but super swollen and uncomfortable still. Can’t for the life of me remember how long this lasted with DD1. Hope it starts to get better soon!

Maybe a week?

A couple of days I think ? They were agonising when the milk first came in, my baby couldn’t latch on as they were too hard. Thank goodness that stage was fairly brief.

I'm sure it was just a couple of days but I can remember how awful it was. I panicked thinking this was just how they were going to be the whole time I was feeding, which amused my mother no end!
