Can my baby have this?

Can my nearly 11 month old have Heinz chicken soup? I saw a thread but didn't want to jump on it a case it got no replys! Peas and chicken soup for a light tea then a bottle at half 8? Healthy or not?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Probably very salty. Making your own low salt version would be better. As a one off probably won't kill her.

BlueMerchant · 10/05/2019 19:38

I wouldn't due to the amount of salt.

FenellaMaxwell · 10/05/2019 19:40

No, it’s very high in salt.

Beans on toast
peanut butter on toast
Marmite on toast
Crumpets
Pasta and pesto

ThisIsTheEndgame · 10/05/2019 19:59

Marmite and pesto are basically jars full of salt.

moreismore · 10/05/2019 20:01

Frozen stuffed pasta is great for a quick tea as cooks so fast. I keep that in and some small packs of pasta sauce.

Kazzz65 · 10/05/2019 20:02

Baked potato in the microwave with baked beans and a little grated cheese

avocadoincident · 10/05/2019 20:12

@ThisIsTheEndgame everything in moderation of course

babiesrcute · 10/05/2019 20:14

Cheers everyone! @moreismore stuffed pasta as in? 😂😂I'm so tired I have a dumb brain going off on one tonight 😬😬

@babiesarecute, like tortellini. I buy the boxes of fresh stuff, and freeze (uncooked) what my children don’t eat.

FenellaMaxwell · 10/05/2019 20:33

An 11 month old should have no more than 1g of salt a day. Half a tin of Heinz soup is more than half their total daily allowance.

moreismore · 10/05/2019 20:44

Lol! As in spinach and ricotta or similar. It’s in the ready meal Italian section!

babiesrcute · 10/05/2019 21:15

I never ever thought of stuffed pasta. Ever Blush

OP posts:
Temp1929 · 10/05/2019 22:11

It may say 19% but that's 19% of an adults daily intake (not sure what an adults actually is), but babies are only supposed to have 1g a day

MummyBear2352 · 10/05/2019 22:21

Just check the salt content.
