Compact cot reviews??

We are looking at getting a compact cot for our little one when he is born to go into our room as the usual size would be too big. We like the mamas and papas compact cot but have any of you bought these before and do they really last up to one year old?? Any comments would be great, thanks!

We bought one from Asda. It cost around £100 for the cot, mattress, mattress protector and sheets. It has served us well. I don't think it's necessary to spend loads on a cot. Our DD is 15 months now (and big for her age) and still just about fits in it.

That depends on how big your baby is.

I have a mokee for ds. He's a huge baby so it won't last him for long but it will do for the 6 months he's in with us.
It was easy to put together and the fibre mattress quality is really good. You can also get handy extras like the drawer for underneath and an attachable changing mat. Overall I quite like it but it would have been much more suitable for a smaller baby.

I have a mokee and DS is still in it at nearly two. It worked really well in our room next to the bed and it still has enough space for him now he's in his own room. I don't see the need for anything much bigger, we're thinking about moving him into a bed soon.

We've got a mokee too and a big tall boy (91st centile), he fits fine at 15 months and think we've probably got another 6-9 months in it yet which is when we'd like to be putting him in a bed anyway. Drawer underneath is really useful.
