Hi all. I’m new in here, I just want to speak to women who have possibly had similar experience so have came on to chat. I recently found out I had a borderline ovarian tumour. I had it removed via laparotomy (open stomach surgery) 3 weeks ago. It was not cancer but very aggressive and had actually spread to both ovaries and my womb. He left half an ovary. I was hoping to do another round of IVF with my half an ovary but based on how aggressive it is I have been advised another pregnancy wouldn’t be a great idea for me (I have one DS) He is getting a second opinion. I believe this is due to the chance of it coming back during my pregnancy. He seemed more okay with me doing a round of IVF getting more embryos and using a surrogate. I desperately want more children. I’m wondering if anyone has any stories of being pregnancy with a borderline ovarian tumour or does anyone have experiences to share of having them. Thank you : )
