3 month old poos

Hi all, first post from a long time lurker.

My 3 month old EBF baby has always had 3-4 dirty nappies a day but in the last few days this has changed to 1 or even none. He still has 5-6 wet nappies and seems happy in himself. I know EBF babies can go days without pooing but is it normal for it to change like this? Any help or advice would be fantastic, thank you Star

Yep changes all the time. If hes not straining to go and it's not coming out hard then it's fine 😊 my guy went 11 days before.

Yep, normal. My EBF 3 month old now poos weekly after always going several times a day until recently. Just brace yourself for the next poo, it will probably be huge!

Yep, things suddenly change for no apparent reason, and with seemingly no impact on them either. It is a tad disconcerting when they suddenly don't go for days on end though - I'm always fearful of a sudden mega poo. That doesn't seem to happen though! Not sure where it all goes though...

Thank you so much for your replies, such a relief! They put so much emphasis on regular nappies in the early days that I was starting to freak out a bit.

I’m half afraid to leave the house now until he goes, they were bad enough when he went regularly, can’t imagine what kind of shitstorm I’m in for Hmm

Totally normal. My ds only had a poo about once every 2 or 3 days.

My EBF three month old just went 14 days between pooing. He usually goes once every seven to ten days.
