Teething at 3 months? DD seems very unsettled

My DD will be 12 weeks tomorrow. She has been extremely cranky with excessive crying for the last few days. Other ‘symptoms’ include: drooling, putting hands in mouth, reddish cheeks, feels warmer than normal, not taking as much milk and unable to stay asleep for long during the day (she naps but wakes up crying after 15-20 mins).

I have looked online and it seems to point to early teething but I just wanted to see what others thought.

We have just about resolved her silent reflux issue and now this! Poor DD just isn’t getting a break and I feel awful for her. DH and I are also exhausted as she just won’t settle.

If you do agree it’s teething then any suggestions? I have tried teething ring (she isn’t interested in this at all), baby calpol (doesn’t really seem to have any effect) and dummy (which she does like but only tolerates for a short amount of time).

There something called teetha and it's a godsend my wee guy was teething at 8 weeks so it's possible. Can you see any raised bumps on the gums?

Thanks @NotSoThinLizzy. Her lower gum seems to have bumps with a white bump showing at her right hand side. I’m heading in to town tomorrow so I’ll look out for Teetha. Is it easy enough to apply? DD seems to hate me going near her mouth!

It's a powder that you pour into their mouths. I put it on my finger and rubbed it on the gums. yeah that sounds like teeth starting. You can make some frozen milk lollies to sooth the gums too. Also a clean cloth from the fridge helps too. I've found ibrophin better than calpol but unsure if she can have that due to age. I've found the worst last about 4-5 days then settles down again. My guy had a full set off teeth before he was 1.

You can get theetha in boots

My DS had first two teeth at 14 weeks, sounds quite likely! He had a full set molars and all at 23 months. Out the way at least!

@NotSoThinLizzy. Great. I’ll pop to boots tomorrow. I didn’t think of the cloth so another thing to try tomorrow in the hope that we see some improvement. We are only on day 2 so good to know that it lasts less than a week. I was getting a bit concerned that this would be us until all her teeth came through!

@moreismore. Oh that is young! I’m dreading if this is DD reaction to each tooth coming through....it’s been a long few days lol 😂
