Ds wets through nappy at night help!

Ds is 10 months and wets through his nappy if left in it all night. He has a bottle before bed at half 6 (about 8oz) then Dh and I have been going up at around half 9 to change his nappy which is always heavy wet.

Tonight we went later, about half 10 and he had wet through his nappy, vest, pjs and sleep bag. I think it's because he sleeps on his tummy so the nappy only absorbs at the front.
Hes in 4+ nappies which fit fine.

Anyone have any ideas of how to stop this? I don't mind the extra change at all but it does sometimes disturb his sleep as he wakes, and for example now he has gone from soundly asleep to wide awake and crying because hes frustrated at being woken and now finding it hard to settle back down.

At 10m mine was in 5+ because he was quite wide. He has a large abdomen. Certain its right size?

They seem to. They're certainly fine in day and hes not above the weight recommendation but worth a shot!

Use larger nappy pants 👍🏻

I sized up at night but some of my friends also had success with one (larger sized) nappy over the other if they had a sleeping position that made them leak like your DS.

Only nappies that worked at night were pampers.

We used to size up at night , used pampers and not supermarket own brand for night ( always used them in the day though) and also double nappy at times

My 13 month old sleeps on her front and we found Aldi nappies leaked every night. Then tried Tesco ones and she's never leaked since!

My daughters nappies always leaked but then we switched to Tesco Ultra Dry and never had an issue from then on x

my 10mo DD always wet theough if i put a nappy on her for bed before 7:30 for some reason. So now i put a nappy on her at 7:30 and give her a bottle about 8 and shes asleep by 8:30. that hour for some reason makes a massive difference in her soaking through!

I've heard of people when baby sleeps ok tummy putting the nappy on back to front for absorption. Not needed to try this with DD as shes still a bub but have friends who swear by it!
