Little Lambs vs. Rainbow Tots Bots?

Hi! I used the old-style size 1 Little Lambs on my first son and was planning on reusing them for the baby that's on the way, but I've ended up buying so many new nappies that I've decided to sell them instead... I have to try bamboo!! I've also picked up a lot of the discontinued rainbow Tots Bots for really cheap, and was just wondering whether anyone has experience with them versus the Little Lambs.

They're supposed to be 'less absorbent' than regular Tots, but how do they compare to LLs? I was happy with those (ds regularly went 3-5 hours between changes) and hope I'm not downgrading - not having to change the baby every 2 hours is more important to me than a 'slim fit' . I'm also hoping the aplix on the Tots will hold up better (tho I hear it's been improved in the new LLs...). Thanks!

I love the rainbow tots, I think it's rubbish that they have been discontinued! I haven't used LLs but can compare Ranibow Tots with Original Tots and don't find there is that much difference, my LO's are bothe heavy wetters and can go 3-4 hours in a Rainbow Tots

Not compared the two, but I looooooooooooooooooved rainbow tots

Hi Don't suppose you'd care to sell me a tots bot (if it's sixe 2) or tell me where I can get a cheepie? I'm desperate to try one and can't get one anywhere

Mine are all size 1 but there are usually loads of Tots in the Nappy Lady's classified ads section, for about half price. Check the For Sale thread here too (I'm trying to restrain myself cause I've already bought way too much!).

Thanks, I'm a bit funny about second hand used nappies!!, irrational I know but I can't get over the idea that I wouldn't wear anyone elses knickers . I shall keep looking.

1 dilemma, do keep an eye out because a lot of people do post new or prewashed but unworn nappies at a great discount...

Some of the used rainbow Tots I've ordered arrived yesterday and I have to say I'm not that impressed. I'd read about them 'getting a bit thin in places' and didn't really understand, but now I do! Weird. In comparison, my old Little Lambs seem to be made of much higher quality cotton - they're as soft and thick and fluffy as day 1, not a single sign of 'thinning'! They're a bit thready around the edges but that doesn't affect the performance at all.

I'm almost wondering whether I ought to just unpick the crappy aplix, resell the Tots, and use my LLs as nippa nappies... but maybe the non-rainbow cotton Tots are better quality?

My last rainbow is very thin, but I put that down to it having been through several children and very old.

I thnk Tots Bots do "thin out" after long use, my Rainbow Tots haven't been in use long and are a slimish nappy anyway but I keep looking at my Original Tots (having only been used for 2 years and on one child and thinking there is no way I am going to get DS2 through to potty training in them also!)
