Need some advice because I feel like I’m going crazy
I’m the mum of a very stubborn 17 months old baby girl
She is so clever and playful and happy till one point... so she started throwing tantrums when she was 8-9 months old , mostly because she hates the pram or the high chair
Is a continuous struggle with her when is time to eat in the high chair even though now is getting better but my main problem is when we go out
She hates , literally hates the pram , if before it was taking me 40 min to put her in the pram when going out and with the help of my partner , now she goes in the pram when we are leaving house but if we are outside and we take her out of the pram we cannot put her back
She is crying her eyes out
If we go to the park she will play and run for hours but when is time to go home again tantrums like is the end of the world
I don’t know what to do anymore, can’t go anywhere with her cause I will not be able to go back
Can’t carry her due to my back problems and she will not walk next to me nor hold my hands
She s been very independent baby from the start, always wanna do thing by herself or only in her way
We are taking swimming classes, again in here she s the only one that doesn’t want to follow the rest, all the babies very docile, mine wanna do only what she want or she will start tantrums
I don’t know how to deal with her anymore ,can’t go in the park with her cause I will not be able to put her back in the pram
Can’t go at playgrounds cause she doesn’t wanna go leave at the end
In the evening she is a good sleeper but during day I can’t put her to nap unless I take her out in the pram, I have tried everything, she s tired but she will play , as sons as we go out she will fall asleep in the pram
Any advice , feel like I’m going crazy ...

When your out and about, are your transitions between activities abrupt or do you tell her several times what's happening next?

Are you able to distract her with a game she likes in order to get her to leave a play area, maybe racing to a landmark or seeing if she can spot xyz?

Sometimes activities don't suit some children. I gave up on a very structured music class with DS1 because he would never want to actually do the activities and would rather run around and dance on his own. I did other things that suited him better instead.

With the pram, can you really not get her in it even if she's unkeen?
