Where to go from here re bullying

What are the next steps for bullying that isn’t being dealt with properly by the school?
Example is, bully will be told to sit out or sent to sit in head teachers office/miss play etc for physically attacking other child/ swearing and threatening them
Bullied child has been ignored by teachers when asked for help and punished several times for reporting attacks
There has been one meeting with the head teacher who promises to protect bullied child and keep an eye on things which they haven’t
How do you go about making a formal complaint/contacting governors?
Pulling bullied child out of school is an option but there are no other schools in the area and why should they miss out on an education
Any tips on how you dealt with it would be appreciated
Children are aged 7

So sorry to hear this. You can write to Chair of Governors and hand it in to school office. You should be able to find a name on the school's website, and also the school's anti bullying policy. Might be useful to read through this before drafting your letter.

There should also be a formal complaints procedure on the school website too.
