Okay that's handy I might try that. I mean. She's still awake now so I'm definitely going to have to get her up earlier

My DS is only 12 weeks but his routine is roughly:

Up at 7.30/8
Nap at 9.30/10 for about an hour
Nap at 12/1 for an hour
Nap at 3 for an hour
Upstairs for bath/milk/bed at 6 and is usually sleeping by 7

Both mine are just night owls - DS is now 2.5 and is almost never asleep before 8.30, he is up around 7-7.30 and had n hours nap in the afternoon. DD is nearly 6 months and is even later to sleep, she has a bath with her brother and then I’m usually doing his stories etc and trying to get him to sleep before I can feed her to sleep. She usually either sleeps late (9ish) with night feeds and then has one nap after lunch or she gets woken by her brother at 7 and then goes back to sleep an hour or two later for an hour and then has a second nap in the afternoon. It is rubbish having no evenings but it’s great getting a ‘lie in’ of 7.30 or occasionally beyond at the weekend. My nephew is reliably in bed and asleep at 7pm which sounds amazing but is often up for the day before 6am, which would be my idea of hell. I think some part of when they sleep is routine and can be gradually adjusted but another part is just body clock.

Thanks again for sharing your routines and opinions, my dd has only just got to sleep now! It is my fault for not setting s routine sleep wise but I need to start tomorrow because like I said it's now 11 so I don't really have any time with my oh

My 9 month went to bed at 9.30- 10, still does at 15 months. Works for us- we get an hour and a half together before bed, but I get time with my little one after work that way. He gets up at 9.30 and has a two hour nap at 3.30pm. He’ll go to bed earlier when he has to wake for school. If he gets a good few hours sleep then there’s no issue. However, I realise some would feel they get no time to themselves- so if that’s why you want to change things then go ahead

Well my DD got up at 7:45 today, has had porridge with a 4oz bottle so I'm hoping she goes bed earlier tonight!
