started potty training this afternoon and he has done really well, 2 wee accidents, and 1 poo accident, the rest in the potty.
however, he has been doing a wee every 15 mins at least, sometimes 2 mins after the last one! i suspect that this is for the chocolate button reward
i'm never going to be able to leave the house if he needs to wee so frequently! is this normal???

Yes!! My dd did this the first day and it seemed to improve drastically after that. On day 3 we went out in pants and no problem - in fact she was better out - the other distractions seemed to take her mind off it.I think they enjoy trying out their new trick of using potty. Keep at it things will suddenly click!

My ds had a day like this about a week in, but it was because he insisted on having a cup of tea with breakfast... then needed about 8 huge wees in the space of an hour! I couldn't believe it, but I guess it was good for getting him used to using the potty every time.

They do seem to have days where they can squeeze out endless wees.

DS did it recently when I popped round to a neighbours with him. He'd not been there before so used the "I want a wee/poo" card as a way of having a look around their house and bathroom . Also it stopped me and the neighbour talking and made him centre of attention of course.

Its a novelty that will hopefully wear off and things should settle down.

Going to shamelessly hijack.

Have been casually potty traning ds for for ages, but because I work I an waiting until the holidays to get a really good go at it.

Sometimes he will go and get the potty and use it, wees and poos, but then he's just as likely not to use it. Seems no rhyme or reason to it. But I am still putting nappies on him when we're out. Should I take the plunge and just put pants on him? Do you thin he's ready? He'll be 2 next month.
