Nursery Settling In

Hello!

My 8month old has had her nursery settling in week this week and it’s all gone great. Baby loves the nursery and the people and can tell she’s going to love it there. Only problem is the naps....she’s a cat napper and generally has 4 30 minute cat naps a day. We’ve tried everything to change this but it is what it is, that’s just what she set herself! The nursery have one set nap time that they put the babies down for. I’m just wondering if there is anything I can do to help her adjust to this schedule. Or if anyone knows how long on average it takes babies to adjust to this. She’s exhausted (was so distracted at nursery no over tierd melt downs there) and I can already tell tonight is going to be hurrendous Sad and that’s even with an extra nap this afternoon as she did a few hours less than she normally does. She won’t get that luxury from tomorrow on her first long day and next week when I’m back at work!

Just want her to be not over tired and miserable, and also not make her any worse of a sleeper than she already is! Sad just don’t know how to help her, or the ladies at the nursery. She was tricky to get down for a nap as I expected. They did manage bless them but it’s just not enough sleep for her at the moment :(

I honestly think she will gradually fall in with their schedule. Over time she sees all the other babies do it the routine will set it. My advice would be try and follow the same schedule at the weekends.
