Anyone else have a 'spirited' child who goes nuts at bedtime? My son is 4 and starts running around and is suddenly interested in all the toys and activities he's ignored all day long. It's a struggle to get him to use the toilet before bed, which is extremely frustrating. Copious faffing about. Then when he's actually in bed (my husband or I lie with him until he falls asleep - not looking to change that), he rolls about, bashing into me, flailing, fidgeting, claiming he needs to take 457 different toys into bed etc.
It's possible that he's overtired, but I guess I just want to know there are other kids out there who do this! Also, when do they grow out of this sort of impulsive behaviour??
