7 month old looks at things sideways

My baby sometimes looks at things from the corner of his eyes, usually when an object is distant.

I googled it and it’s linked to autism! Now I’m worried. I don’t think he does anything else of concern.

He babbles himself to sleep but googling that, that’s quite common.

Should I be worried?

I think autism
Is more about many traits all together rather than just 1 trait alone

I would talk to your HV and/or GP though in case it's something that needs attention - it's probably nothing though

Most likely a lazy eye. Quite common.

Get a proper eye test, not just the quick optician one. I think it could be something called strabisimus, but probably have the wrong term. Its lazy eye muscles and if it is that, can be corrected if caught early

I agree with lazy eye or nystagmus people also do this. Get an eye test x
