Will my son always smell so nice? Even when he's 21?

OK so had a bit too much to drink, dh is out, a few episodes of brothers & sisters backed up to watch and these factors coupled with red wine make me wonder the oddest things.
My ds smells lovely to me. Best when he's not had a bath for a few days! (Not dirty just a little...natural)
I wonder whether he'll always have a nice smell to me or when he gets a bit older it'll disappear?

No he'll smell like rank old kippers by about 10.

Lucky you. Mine is the same age and usually smells of willy and bum.

Fnar fnar kippers willy and bum!

It's his hair! He hasn't got much, we've never had to get it cut as it has grown approx 1 inch in his entire life but it smells so delicious. I could nibble his head when he's been running around in the garden.
Do I sound like an odd animal mother? btw I did not lick him clean when he was just minutes old

califrau is the smell you're talking about the odd combination of bits of fluff, old socks and the underneath of old people's beds that I seem to recall boys smelling of when I was young? Oh no please no

DS1 is 19 (just) - very very sweaty (except just after a shower)

Sorry

Wendy
Does he go "arr gerroff" too when you try to hug him? I am dreading that.

I was flanked with a son on either side yesterday whilst I read to them on the sofa. They were unclothed and on the fiddle and the smell was, well, extremely male, much to the disgust of their sister.

AttilaTheMum · 14/07/2007 23:35

Mine started smelling of Lynx & hair gel at the age of about 15...

WendyWeber · 14/07/2007 23:35

No, luckily he is still affectionate (well I say luckily, that would be except when he needs a shower!)

Tatat · 14/07/2007 23:37

DS had a potentially nasty incident today with his unclothed bottom half and our dark brown leather sofa which had become incredibly hot in the sun. Don't think he will be quite so keen to wear nothing but sandals and a hat tomorrow!

Tatat I'm an animal mummy too...I love to nuzzle up to ds3 - 3.5 and nibble his ears. Hasn't had a bath for a few days so just smells of little boy.

Ds1 is 13 and while not honking, does smell a bit musky. Ds2 is 12 and showers very frequently , making him smell of showere gel, for which I should be thankful I suppose. Dd is 8 and very feral...still smells like a little animal !
