Looking for some new indoor creative stuff

Had a wonderful day outside today, but was just thinking that when dd and I are in doors we are doing the same stuff and would like some new creative things to do and would be grateful for some ideas. DD has just turned one.

Rolling around on the carpet ... reading books ... squashing playdoh.

All these thing will bear fruit over the next eighteen months: chewing on carrot sticks, watching Cbeebies, feeling things, tickling. However small they might seem, mucking around with a one year old, doing nothing constructive in particular, is a great thing to do.

Follow her around if crawling/walking or sit on floor if sitting and copy everything she does for 5 minutes. Will create giggles.

Think she will love the copying one. She has a great sense of humour.

A big bowl of water on the kitchen floor, some plastic pots/bowls and a brush- she can help you "wash up". This always went down a treat. Or making a tent over the chairs/table and having a picnic inside, I really enjoyes this too!
DS really likes doing "the same old stuff" though- it's like a little comfort blanket I think, he knows where he is.
