DS’s nappies leaking - what am I doing wrong?

DS is 4 weeks old today. I keep having to do an outfit change as well as a nappy change because there is wee up his front or back, usually his back. I have tried all different brand nappies- Aldi, Lidl, Asda and Pampers. He is in size 1 nappies, I make sure his willy is pointing downwards and the nappy is tight but it keeps happening. I’m sure I must be doing something wrong?! It doesn’t happen every single time, around twice a day (but today it has been 4 times so far hence this post!).

Have you tried a bigger size?

MustardScreams · 16/04/2019 15:55

Bigger size. Try a size 2 and see if that helps.

Try the next size up. I've always found the size 1's aren't as good as the next sizes up for absorbancy.

Maybe try size 0 or 2? And nappy change before feeding when his belly is less round?

Sorry, I'm not much help, literally every nappy we had leaked until about 6 weeks, but I think dd was too small for them and we couldn't find size 0.

Definitely try a different size. This always happened when DD’s nappy was either too big or too small. It’s usually how I knew it was time to go up a size. They started leaking before they actually looked or felt too small.

Thanks everyone. We’ve had this problem since birth and he was 7lb 3 so has been in size 1s. Think he’s about 9lb 6 now so will try the next size up and see if it helps!

I would try size 3 TBH. I always put mine in the next size up when they hit the minimum weight for it.
