Cloth nappy users- how often would you change 7 mo?

DD has been in nursery for a month and she is the only baby there in cloth nappies. The staff have been more than happy to use our nappies but they only change her 3 times a day. She goes to nursery in a fresh nappy at 7.30 and I think they change her at about 10ish, 1ish and 4ish, the same as all the babies in disposables.

She is starting to get nappy rash for the first time ever - should I get them to change her more often?

I always took 5 nappies into nursery and made it clear that I expected to get 5 used nappies back.

10 1 and seems fine

I sent minki pocket nappies in with the dds - they get less wet cos they are all fleece

also they always completely cocked up the assembly and the liner ended up god knows where so this was foolproof

FlameDelacour · 14/07/2007 11:25

I change about that too... maybe less No rash here

Thanks for your replies. I do use liners and sudocrem at every change and the staff are very good at assembling the nappies correctly. Its the first time we've had a problem so maybe its heat rash or thrush.

i change dd1 about every 3 hours and dd2 poos that much we still go through about 10 nappies a day as she loves to poo in a fresh nappy, i've tried her on the potty but she didn't like this so clean nappies it is for her

if they were getting sore bums i would change them more often. also could it be the baby wipes? we mainly just use reusable now because i thought baby wipes were irratating the skin and plus it saves loads of money.

that sounds about the same as j's nursery - which is fine for him, but if you'd change her more often at home I'd defintely ask them to up the frequency.

Could it be that they change at set times so she could be left in a pooey nappy for a couple of hours? I change my dd about every 4 hours, but if she does a poo i change it straight away, otherwise she gets a rash. it sounds as though they are changing her frequently enough otherwise
