Any young mums on here, when you first had your babies how much help did you get? I'm young and currently living at home with family but have a flat that I'm moving to soon. All young mums that I know have there babies looked after most weekends by there parents and get loads of child free time. My mum does help me but only for a couple of hours so I can get stuff done or if I'm ill. The most she's ever taken my little on is 5 hours when I was ill.

What was it like for you? Do you think I let my mum take my little one too much?

There is no "too much" - it depends on the circumstnaces of the Mum, the Grandma, the Dad, the other Grandparents, Aunts, uncles, friends network, finances, etc, etc, etc. Plus of course how the Mum is coping, and how easy / challenging the baby is.

If you are asking for experiences, I don't know of anyone who had their babies looked after most weekends by their parents, that I was aware of, anyway, so I think you must be in a very niche group there.
