Vaping in front of baby?

My baby is 9 weeks old and the entire side of my partners family vapes. I have no problem with this - away from my child but they continually do it inside when he’s in close proximity eg in his car seat on the floor when we’re ready to go home or they take a drag and then breathe it over him centimetres from his face when talking to him. It makes me feel really uncomfortable but i don’t feel like i can say anything because we’re visiting their homes and they’re doing it inside which is their right. Nobody bats an eyelid so i don’t know whether i’m in the wrong because i don’t really know much about vaping and if there’s any side effects. By the way, i’m quite relaxed with my son and never an over-fussy parent, but it’s just something that’s really irritating me and i don’t know what to do, i think it’s gross around babies.

I agree with you. Most offices, at least all the ones I’ve ever worked in, have now banned e-cigarettes indoors so they aren’t considered completely harmless. I definitely wouldn’t be happy with people vaping around a newborn baby and if your DP can’t ask them to go to another room I’d be finding an excuse not to visit.

Does your DP feel the same as you? Maybe he could be the one to ask them to do it away from your DC. I wouldn't like it either and would be finding excuses not to visit.

It would definitely be a No. My hubby Vaps and he doesn't do it in the same room as our son.
