Took 2yo DD to doctors yesterday as she has been having high temperatures since Sunday night and seems to be in pain when going to the toilet. I took a urine sample which he tested and it was fine. He tried to examine her and she sceamed the place down and made it virtually impossible for him to properly check her, he couldn't even take her temperarure. She's incredibly shy with anyone she doesn't know so I'm not surprised she doesn't want this strange person looking at her. She was screaming so much in there i just wanted to get her out, i couldn't really hear the doctor but got the gist that he didn't have a clue what was wrong. She's currently asleep on me, she has very red cheeks, I've just given her calpol as her temperature is high again. When awake she's very grumpy and keeps saying she needs a poo but when i take her to the potty or toilet she can't go and gets very upset. I'm going to take her back to the doctor again tomorrow but I'm not sure what they can do without being able to look at her properly. What can I do? I feel totally helpless. She's recently potty trained which she took to really well and I've also recently stopped giving her milk in a bottle except first thing in the morning and at night, so she's drinking less during the day. I offer her drinks in various cups all the time but she won't drink much. Today i even offered a bottle out of desperation but she refused that. She's constantly hungry but when i offer her food she nibbles a bit but isn't eating much. Any advice would be much appreciated. She has been like this since Sunday, she last did a poo on Sunday. She is weeing about three times a day. Even the doctor didn't know what to suggest! Help!
