Baby waking for dummy in the night

Hi just wondering if this is maybe the sleep regression and will it pass?
My baby is 3 and a half months, never really used a dummy until the 8week jabs when he cried so much he took to a dummy to help settle.
For the past 2 weeks he has started waking in the night again (I know how lucky I was that he slept through) but he just wriggles and makes noises like he's unsettled but a dummy sends him back off to sleep. Sometimes I get up once to put the dummy in sometimes 3/4 times .
Is this normal? Should I be concerned about developing a bad habit? Or offer bottle instead? I did that at first but he only took couple of oz and fell asleep so I don't think he's hungry, I'm happy that he can self settle with a dummy but just seems a shame since he never used to need it

Can I add also that when he used to wake up to feed in the night he would be wide awake when I got up to see him, but when he wakes now just for the dummy his eyes are still close he's just wriggling around and moaning a bit, so not fully awake

Sounds like the sleep regression, it'll pass. There's something called a sleepytot that you can Velcro dummies to which help babies find them in the night, that may help?
