Can you tell me if this is exactly the same fabric as the very fluffy Tots Bots Fluffles or is it flatter like the old Fluffles fabric?

curlywurlycremeegg · 16/07/2007 15:44

It's flatter than a Fluffles but still really soft, not the "catchy" type of fabric used on the old fluffles. They are really, really, really nice, can mail you a photo if you want one

FlameDelacour · 16/07/2007 17:23

Its like a new fluffle with a bit of a hair cut.

my teddys samples a size 1 - havent looked at the size ranges - ds is almost 20lb so dont want to spoil it - will he need a size 2 ?

OP posts:
FlameDelacour · 16/07/2007 19:32

It depends if he fits in the normal size 1s or not! I think the size ones go up to 22lb

nappyzone · 16/07/2007 19:52

i wouldnt dare put it anywhere near him at the moment - he had a rash so after his 4th poo of the day (he has the trots) i let him air his bum and he pumped and as i looked the chicken korma was squishing out all over my new(ish) carpet, little toad - then as i ran round looking for the clean up kit in a frenzy he rolled in it and rubbed his fingers init all whilst my dd was shouting commentary at me 'mummy hes digging his feet in it now' , its a brown carpet so would be highly practical for this situ but his poo is a nice yellow job! Sorry if anyone had just had a korma for there tea - but hey yeah flame maybe i will just pop it on tomorow and take the chance! - wanted to keep it nice as a demo before you all worried i was going to try it on then sell it on!!! loL!! My trots have now subsided if anyone was bothered....

Sorry to butt in but I have just received 3 fluffles and thought they are lovely. Do other people not like them then? Also is there an older style fluffle as brought 2 secondhand and they are not as nice as my new one.

FlameDelacour · 16/07/2007 20:29

There have been issues with poppers falling out of fluffles recently, and I have had general lack of help from tots so I am a bit biased

nappyzone · 16/07/2007 20:39

i am with flame on this one - i have some fluffles in stock and am realy nervous about selling them in case. At least i know with bambinex i willg et first class customer care which i too can pass on

Actually funny you should say that, the first time I used my new fluffle a popper fell off but silly me carried on using it as I didn't think it would affect the use.

hippopowell · 16/07/2007 21:04

I love my fluffles & will use them on our 2nd child when they arrive in Jan. We used them on our first with not a single problem or concern, only love at a super fitting, easy to use, super absorbant, never leaking, super quick drying nappy. I do wish people would stop rubbishing Tots here. I don't see this happening with other brands of nappies on the market on these boards. We all know different nappies suit different babies & parents. What one person loves another dosen't, but that does not make that nappy sub standard, which is the impression I am getting about Tots from the bambineo/inex lovers. Tots are having problems at the moment with their phones as they have moved. I am sure it is not deliberate & they are trying to get BT to sort it. This hiccup should not diminish the fab reputation that Tots has built having been making award winning nappies for many, many years. You do not get awards & a reputation they have for making sub standard nappies.
PS
I do not work for, or have any connection with Tots, other then I use & really love their nappies.

FlameDelacour · 16/07/2007 21:07

Its the quality going downhill that is making people lose faith in them. I keep hearing time and time again lately about problems with both bamboozles and fluffles.

Yes, it is the sellers who are getting most disheartened, but that will happen with enough complaints.

curlywurlycremeegg · 16/07/2007 21:15

hipop, I just think Tots have got too big for themselves, for a retailer to have to wait over 8 weeks for stock isn't good I know they have started to stock places like Mothercare and Toys R Us and I think this is at the detriment to the independent traders. The problem I have is that they really don't seem to care, having been told twice my order was on it's way I phoned for a third time to say it still hadn't arrived only to find out it still hadn't been dispatched......this just doesn't happen with other suppliers, I do think they make great nappies but their customer service sucks

hippopowell · 16/07/2007 21:21

Flame & curly I can see as a business that must be highly frustrating. I can only speak as a mum, who purchased the nappies ages ago & really love them.

FlameDelacour · 16/07/2007 21:26

I have a very very old rainbow tots (from when they were doing bright colours) and I still love it to bits

mozzybear · 16/07/2007 21:47

I got a replacement fluffle today for one that split weeks ago now. I bought my original set in Feb and the replacement seems better quality (Or are mine just washed to oblivion?). I have just chucked it into the wash but am tempted to sell it so I won't feel so bad about buying another one... possibly a teddy. Will have a wait on as I don't "do" velcro.

Woman from tots said replacement would take a week and thats was practically a month ago.

AND I found part of a popper... bit confused as its a nippa and only has two poppers for the booster... and it doesn't appear to have come of them. Somewhere there will be a broken (another) fluffle.

yummymummy06 · 16/07/2007 22:50

Yes that's probably my lost popper then!!

I guess it's too late to contact them about my fluffle?

FlameDelacour · 16/07/2007 22:52

No, if poppers are out then they need replacing - it shouldn't matter how long ago it happened.
