My partners parents have a holiday home in the souths of france, we live in the Drome area which is 3 hours drive from there. The holiday home is on a camping site which swimming pools, playground, beach etc every child (and adults dream). We went there a few times last year and also this year in may. Now the grandparents would LOVE to have boths grandchildren for a week but DD 3 1/2 year loves it but NOT without Maman, we asked her, told her about it explained etc. but NO. She does not even want to go for a walk with them (without me) She does soften up after a couple of days (the live in Normandy so we don't see them that often). She loevs her grandparents so much, talks about them everyday, loves to play with them, but she needs me around, not to play but just so she knows. But DS 2 year old I happy to follow them on his own etc. So we are going down there on monday and will be driving home thursday our plan is to leave DS there and take DD home (she will get the choise to stay). We now she is going to scream she want to stay, not to stay etc. but we feel it is not fair for DS to miss out on a opportunity to spend a week with grandparents. what do you think.
