Dear all,
Is it only me, who think that is absolute ridiculous to see year2-year3 children with mobile phones? They are so "proud" too, constantly showing off their phones .
What is the parents reason to do this to their kids???

Year 2 and Year 3 ??

My youngest is now y9 and I thought the y5s having them was daft. Anyone with a phone had to hand it in at the school office at the start of the day for collection at the end.

Very few of those taking phones to school were travelling independently as most had younger siblings being dropped off and collected.

Y2 & y3 have no business having phones at school at all.

Mine had a smart phone start of year four as she walked to and from school (a good proportion of y4 round here do walk to school alone from y4)
Initially I gave her a old fashioned Nokia but she struggled to use it and kept accidentally ringing and using up the credit so got her a second hand smart phone

Urgh. I hate this.

My LO won't be having a phone until he's secondary school age. Until then there's absolutely no need.
