Dd is nearly 9 months old and is placed asleep on her back every night I then wake to find ages sleeping on her side? Is this ok? I moved her back onto her back as I googled and it said sids, how do I stop her? Or is it ok!

It’s fine as she is now strong enough to move herself around

It’s fine- always put them down on their back but once they can roll themselves it’s fine to let them sleep on their front/side. It’s not like you can stop it unless you plan on not sleeping yourself!

My 9 month old DS often does this too. It's fine. He's just comfier that way and he has the ability to move back, so I have nothing to worry about. Nor do you. Smile

It's fine as long as she can roll over my son has slept on his stomach and side since 7 months he's now 19 months

My DD has been sleeping on her side most of her life. She did it the first night we brought her home! Luckily she stopped for a bit but mostly she has always slept on her side. She turned 10 months today and lately she's been sleeping on her tummy with her arms to the sides. The sids risk is extremely low now.
