ds1 is 3.3 and has always had eco disposibles. ds2 has come along and he has reuseables so I would like to find a night nappy for ds1. I have 1 pair of motherease bedwetter pants but they seem to leak a lot... Can anyone recommend a good nappy and wrap? Is a minki huggle a good idea?
tia!

just had a look at wacky wraps, are they suitable for overnight? I'm going to need to get something with a transport theme I think... Also, will I need to bother with liners?

Tots Bots have been great for us. With a Motherease wrap. Although, I've recently started to use a Tots wrap sz3 as the ME one was getting too tight. Not surprising as she is now 4y old.

thanks juuule, was just looking at tots but I'm not sure as we live in a very hard water area... Did you use aplix or nippa?
Also just been looking at fuzzi bunz but also not sure as I seem to remember reading mixed reports on here...

Bambineos - they have their own version of fluffle coming out this week, they will dry fast, be very absorbant and a much more generous fit on a 3 yr old, or the old bamboo version. I find wool wraps best for night - they are a much nicer fit around a big nappy, and soft against their legs.

Fuzzis are no good for bed.

I've just ordered a minki pocket for DD (her bedwetters have gotten too small, and it seemed a cheaper option as I can wash in the morning and it'll be dry by bedtime).

redclover79 · 09/07/2007 20:34

thanks flame, just measured round him and he's 55cm, will the bambineos go that big? (I have a size 2 popper bambineo, should I use that as a comparison?).
I've got a large slinki minki just been messing about stuffing it with a terry and it fits well round the waist but gives him a huuuuuge bum!! Was looking at a yoyo maybe, what would you recommend I stuff with?! Also, wraps: could get my gran to knit a couple of large wraps, ds has been looking at wacky wraps and minki wraps, would they work? Oh and do I need a wrap for a fleece minki?!

I've always used 'bright bots'

Flamesparrow · 09/07/2007 20:52

Yup - it'll be the same size as the popper one. If you need to add boosting and its bulking out too much, then just add it between the nappy and wrap.

I think yo-yos will end up about the same bulkiness and the minki pockets. not sure what fleece minkis are...

Wackys do work fine for night wrap, but they can be a bit harsh at the edges so not the most comfortable things

redclover79 · 09/07/2007 21:10

No I've no idea what a fleece minki is either [distracted emoticon]! What I meant to say was do you need a wrap on a slinki minki?
Just tried a bambineo on ds1 and he's not as big as I thought, there's actually a bit of room to spare!
We were looking at wacky wraps as ds1 likes all the designs and it's going to be an added incentive to go into reuseables! Do you have any suggestions for colourful (transport themed) wraps?!
Oh and how much will the fluffy bambineos cost?!

Fluffy bambineos are the same as aplix bamboo ones available to preorder now...

Transport themed wraps Possibly needing a WAHM to custom make!!!

No wrap needed over standard or slinki minkis

redclover79 · 09/07/2007 21:59

Will go and have a look as soon as possible!! Think I'm gonna give a minki wrap a go... Thanks flame!! One more thing, will I need to bother with a liner? I've got a few fleece ones floating about somewhere...

Nope - no liners needed with minkis, they are with the bambineos though

juuule · 09/07/2007 22:09

In answer to your question further down - we use the aplix Tots Bots.
