Does anyone have an Ergobaby 360 carrier.....

I think I am being a bit of a muppet here! I purchased the Ergobaby 360 Omni carrier specifically because it has an integrated hood. However it does not cover my 6.5 month old in any way?! It reaches to the top of his head but basically just pins him against me and offers no privacy or eye coverage whatsoever. The whole reason I purchased it is because I was hoping it would offer enough shade and privacy for him to sleep in the summer when I won't have a lightweight waterproof on.

Am I being daft?? I don't think I'm wearing him too high up as I'm not sure how else I could wear it.

Yes I have one, I found the hood a bit useless and have only used it once otherwise the carrier has been very good.

Oh how annoying!!! How old is your LO if you don't mind me asking and do you have any tips to encourage sleep without needing to zip a coat round them?! I do rely on the carrier for naps in the morning on the dog walk and I just know when I don't have a coat on in summer he won't nap because he is too nosey 🤦🏼‍♀️

I found the hood so useful from newborn up until I moved to the widest height setting on the inside - by that stage (8/9 months) baby was too big to sleep in the sling really. His legs dangled down and kept hitting mine which woke him. How big is your baby? Unless he’s a giant I would have thought it should still work - have you looked at YouTube videos for positioning?

@HarrietM87 interesting maybe I'm doing it wrong then because no he isn't a big baby particularly. I will have to take a look. I'm not sure what I can do though because he just sits in the seat bit and his head comes up to the top of my boobs

Maybe it’s to do with the length of the shoulder straps somehow? Do you clip it on the furthest popper (so the hood straps are longest? I’ll try to take a picture of mine later. Baby is 11 months now.

My DS is now 20 months still use the carrier. I can’t let him sleep when he’s on my back now as he flops over the side. When he’s on my front he just snuggles into my chest and nods off.

So after a bit of re-positioning I have got this (I hope the photo shows). Does that look like yours @HarrietM87? I think his coat hood gets in the way too which doesn't help.

@fedupandlookingforchange thank you - mine will sleep eventually but it would take at least an hour probably more and I just don't have that time before baby classes to spend getting him to sleep!!! He is a nosey little thing

Something looks really wrong there to me - the padded bit that folds over should be touching his head - looks like it’s halfway down his back? That would explain why the hood doesn’t stretch. Baby is napping now but I’ll try to find a pic...

@HarrietM87 that's what I thought?! It looks so wrong doesn't it. I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong when baby is sat in the seat and the waistband is on my waist 😐
