My 7 year old refuses hygiene routine

Hi all,
So I'm really puzzled atm as to why my 7 year old daughter seems to be making routine hygiene jobs a challenge? For about a month now it's become a battle to get her to shower without moaning or trying to refuse it. Cleaning her teeth has become another challenge for some reason she just doesn't seem to want to do any hygiene things. Is it just my child that is going through this stage or have other people experienced this? I'm losing ideas on what to do, she has always had the same hygiene routine while growing up and has always loved bathing and showering and now it's like it's an effort to get her to wash. She doesn't have use of a tablet or telly time though the week as I thought this could have been part of the problem so we focus on crafts, baking, reading etc in the evenings to avoid the tablets so it's not like shes distracted by gaming or YouTube. I'm worried I'm failing as a mother. Is this normal child behaviour at this age?

My 7 year old daughter hates bathing . She’s fine when she’s in but she’s rather not .

Loads of children are like this.

You just have to insist. Don't argue with them about it. Tell them. Reward for when they do it without moaning.

This too shall pass. Soon she'll be a teenager taking 2 hour showers and spending an age doing her hair!!
