I've got the britax. It was a decent seat, I have moved my child out of it now (2 years). Not useful if the only seat in your car you can put it in is the middle, as it doesn't swivel with a seat either side.

Have both. Joie is more comfortable though bulkier

Have you tried them both in a shop?

We had a Britax (not the same model you mentioned). It was a nightmare. The buckle was hidden under a cover that made it difficult to access and often jammed the buckle. The seatbelt release button was also inconveniently hidden and difficult to access. The belt didn’t have pads on the part that went over the thighs and it didn’t release smoothly. The shoulder pads were inconveniently placed. The seat tended to stick when you released it from the base. We were glad when DS grew out of it.

We replaced it with a Cybex Sirona M2. Cheaper than the seats you suggested and it rotates. We tried seats in a shop to check the ease of use and comfort so we didn’t end up with an awkward seat again. Between your two options I’d pick the Britax because it’s safer - the Joie is not i-size.

I read this as “a joie or a brexit.”

I’ll get me coat.

Joie 360 spin. Love it!
